Expansion through the Legacy Project

The Dahod building was completed in December 2012 as part of Lowell Generalâ??s $95 million expansion of our main campus. The Legacy Project provides patients with a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department and Level III Trauma Center with helipad, 72 new private inpatient rooms, a new outpatient service area, expanded imaging services with new MRI, three new Operating Rooms, a new Surgical Day Care Unit with 26 bays and a new Labor and Delivery Unit.

On Sunday, May 18, 2014, Lowell General Hospital will hold its 15th annual TeamWalk for CancerCare. Last year, with the help of our generous corporate partners and more than 5,000 participants, TeamWalk raised $920,000 to support services for patients in our cancer center. Since its inception, TeamWalk has raised more than $6 million dollars to provide services and assistance for more than 15,000 people of all ages facing cancer.
